About Me

I’ve been an artist at heart for as long as I can remember, but for a long time, I didn’t feel like I had permission to fully live that out.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, by Taiwanese immigrants who instilled in me a strong work ethic and the belief that pursuing a career in healthcare was the right thing to do.

Wanting to honor them, I earned a B.S. in Biochemistry, and continued into a rigorous D.D.S. program in San Francisco shortly after. But along the way, my mental health began to suffer, and I knew something had to change.

I decided to step away from dental school to discover who I really was for the first time and became a certified yoga teacher. I moved to Maui, Hawaii, and began to explore new possibilities, embracing a more intentional way of living.

After the pandemic, I moved back to SoCal to be closer to my friends and family, continuing my journey of self-discovery. I gave my life to Jesus Christ and began to see my creativity not just as a personal outlet, but as a gift meant to be shared.

In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus says, You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

This passage deeply influences the way I now live and share my art. Today, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am deeply committed to supporting others on their mental health journeys.

Art for me has not only become a vehicle of restoration, but also a way to encourage others to reconnect with the light within themselves.

As a future therapist, I hope to integrate art therapy into my practice to help others heal and discover themselves through creative expression.
